Starlight & Main Theatre Company was founded by Wyatt Haugen after years of dreaming about creating a true community theatre experience in the Montevideo, Minnesota area. What began as a vision to bring the magic of live performance closer to home has grown into a creative hub where art, music, and storytelling shine brightly.
Wyatt, our Principal Director, knows the stage from every angle. Once in the spotlight himself, he has performed in numerous productions—captivating audiences through his talent as an actor, vocalist, and instrumentalist. Today, he channels that same passion and energy into directing, inspiring performers of all ages to find their voices and embrace their artistry.

Wyatt Haugen
At the heart of Starlight & Main Theatre Company is Wyatt Haugen — a visionary artist, passionate storyteller, and dedicated community leader whose dream of creating a vibrant performing arts home in Montevideo, Minnesota, has become a shining reality.
Wyatt’s love for the stage began early, inspired by the energy, connection, and transformation that only live theatre can bring. Over the years, he has graced numerous stages as an actor, vocalist, and instrumentalist, earning a reputation for his creative depth and captivating performances. After years in the spotlight, Wyatt found a new calling behind the curtain — to direct, produce, and guide others in discovering their own artistic voices.
As Principal Director and Founder, Wyatt brings both artistry and heart to every production. His direction is marked by authenticity, collaboration, and a deep respect for storytelling that resonates with audiences of all ages. Under his leadership, Starlight & Main continues to grow as a space where creativity flourishes, community thrives, and every performer — whether stepping on stage for the first time or returning to it — feels seen, valued, and inspired.

Marie N. proudly serves as Board President of Starlight On Main Theatre Company, bringing her deep love for the arts and heart for community to everything she does. A dedicated flutist with the Montevideo Community Band, Marie has long believed in the power of music and performance to bring people together.
Her passion for the arts, combined with her steady leadership and encouragement, helps guide Starlight’s mission and growth. Marie is a strong advocate for creating opportunities where creativity can flourish and where community members of all ages feel welcomed and inspired.
Through her service and support, Marie plays an important role in helping Starlight On Main continue to shine brightly in our community.

Larissa S. serves as Board Treasurer for Starlight On Main Theatre Company, offering both thoughtful leadership and a strong commitment to our community. As the Head Librarian of the Montevideo Public Library, Larissa is deeply passionate about education, creativity, and providing welcoming spaces where people can gather, learn, and grow. Her love for storytelling and the arts makes her a natural fit for Starlight. Whether through books or the stage, Larissa believes in the power of stories to inspire, connect, and uplift. With her careful stewardship and steady support, she helps ensure that Starlight continues to thrive and serve our community for years to come.

Katie L. serves as our Grant Officer and Member At Large on the Starlight On Main Theatre Company board, bringing her energy, creativity, and love of the arts to every project.
A talented saxophone player with the Montevideo Community Band, Katie’s passion for music and performance inspires those around her and helps make our community theatre truly shine.
In addition to her work with Starlight, Katie is an active member of the Lee Mar Ranch Board of Directors in Granite Falls, where she supports programs that enrich lives and foster connections through her work in Non-Profits. Her dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm make her a valued part of our board and our community.

Emma C. brings a lifelong love of music and performance to her role as a Board Member with Starlight and Main Theatre Company. A proud alumna of the YME School District, Emma first found her passion for the arts through band and theatre, performing on stage as early as junior high. She continues to share her musical talent as a saxophonist with the Montevideo Community Band. Emma is thrilled to contribute her experience, enthusiasm, and creative energy to the continued growth and success of Starlight and Main Theatre Company. She looks forward to supporting its mission to bring engaging, high-quality theatre to the community while fostering opportunities for local performers and artists.

Georgette "G’ette" J. brings over 40 years of experience in singing, acting, and directing across Southwest Minnesota to her role as Member at Large on the Starlight On Main Theatre Company board. G’ette’s creativity, guidance, and deep understanding of theatre make her a treasured part of Starlight, helping ensure that every production is full of heart, skill, and community spirit.
